CENTERS FOR RESEARCH - Key achievements
-Digital Agriculture: Partnership between Bolsa de Cereales, University of Maryland, Argentinean Ministry of Education and Inter-American Development bank to create a postgraduate course in Remote sensing for developing countries, that provide advanced tools to increase the use of remote sensing technologies in agriculture in Argentina.
-Design and initiated the Rural School Program, partnership between Bolsa de Cereales and NASA Harvest, were high school students get training from NASA Harvest experts on the use of remote sensing in agriculture and global food security. Students also go on field trips capturing ground truth data that NASA Harvest scientists convert into crop masks. The initial pilot program in 2021 had 30 schools in the Buenos Aires Province, with 459 students participating, and more than 1200 data entries collected. For 2022, the program expanded to the whole Argentine territory.
-Design of the AMIS Exchange Program, developed with the intent of training and assessing necessities of different international commodity experts from different AMIS participant countries (2013).
-Initiated and developed the Grain Exchange Training Department, together with an online campus of virtual agricultural courses. The main objective of this program was to develop different courses related to Agriculture in order to fill the gap that exists between university curriculums and the actual needs of the agricultural sector in terms of human resources training in Argentina (2011).

FELLOWSHIPS AND AWARDS
08-2011 International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)- United States - Department of State.
"Comprehensive study of American agriculture". Washington DC, Chicago (Illinois), Bozeman (Montana) Grand Island (Nebraska) and St. Louis (Missouri), August 2011.
The purpose of the program was to learn about the United States agricultural sector by meeting with key players from government, industry, academia, and private research institutions. I was invited by the Department of State. The main objective was to analyze how a real need from agricultural producers could be transformed in a policy, from a local or regional level to national level. A general goal during the trip was to understand the linkages between the farmers' needs and policy reaction. As a result of the trip, many valuable connections together with several projects started.
